Human rights activist from Santa Clara detained by secret police and threatened



On Tuesday, 12 March at 1 pm, Yoel Bravo López was in a park located in América Latina Quarter, using a free wi-fi available at this place. Suddenly, he was arrested by secret police officers and taken to the police unit known as Operations (UPO) in Villa Clara. There he was interrogated by high officials belonging to the "Section 21" from Havana. He was threatened with imprisonment and that his daugther would lose access to the healthcare because he is maintaining links with terrorists. Moreover, he was told that if he did not stop promoting the camapign on behalf of the Justice Commission of Cuba, which aims at puting Raúl Castron in prison, he would be sent to the Park of Ciénaga de Zapata, that's where the crocodiles are, and none of him will be left. He was relased at 3 pm.
