On January 31, 2016, an activist Yonny Figuereda Pileta was going to attend Sunday Mass in the Santuario del Cobre in Santiago de Cuba province. The Mass was held to support Ladies in White, Todos Marchamos campaign and the end of repression. At 5:30 am Yonny was detained and beaten at the checkpoint in Güira by State Security officials. Then they driven him to the Police Department in Manuel Tames. Instructor Santo threatened Yonny that he would go to jail for his social dagerousness. He was given an official warning and later released.
