UNPACU activist detained and threatened



On Sunday February 28, 2016, an UNPACU activist in Caimanera, Delvis Estrada Figuerola, was going to attend Mass in El Cobre in Santiago de Cuba province. By order of Lt Col Cantillo, State Security chief in Caimanera, Delvis was taken from the bus he was travelling by and detained along with other activists. The detention was carried out in order to prevent them from attending Todos Marchamos campaign, which is being conducted to demand the release of political prisoners and respect for human rights. Delvis was to driven the Police Department and threatened with imprisonment in case he would go on with his counterrevolutionary activities.
