Workers in the service of the government offended the activist Fidel Manuel Batista Leyva on several occassions by calling him a mercenary, counter-revolutionary, and so on. On the day he was expelled, they told him that he could no longer work at Provincial Health because he was against the revolution. His mother and sisters did not agree with the decison so they went to his workplace to talk about it, but an argument broke out and the workers, following orders from the political police, offended the activist's family, since they knew about their activism.
