An activist from Caimanera intimidated at the police station and threatened with imprisonment

In the morning, 16 October, 2020, Diosbany Salazar Rodríguez was summoned to the police station in the zone Glorieta where he lives. There he was received by a police chief along with State Security official Kevin. He informed Diosbany that he was under surveillance as he was considered as a potential criminal. According to the official, since that moment, his life is supposed to change and he will personally take care of it, summoning him anytime when necessary. Moreover, he told him that he is obliged to cooperate with them which was immediately refused by Diosbany, stating that he is not a traitor. When the official saw his attitude, he said: " Well, then I have to tell you that you will be put in jail." After that, he started telling him that he was prohibited from visiting other counter-revolutionaries at home, from attending their meetings and if he did so, he would have to inform the police. Moreover, the official told him that when he goes to Guantánamo, he is obliged to inform him one day in advance to check whether he is allowed to do so otherwise he will be accused of disrespect. Finally, the official said: "Do not forget that your house is carefully watched and I can also accuse you of disobedience."
