Activist was detained and interrogated for organizing a social project



At 10:45 am, Francisco Rangel Manzano was on his way to the Catholic Church of Saint José to accompany two Ladies in White. Suddenly, they were intercepted by two officers in blue uniforms and detained. They were all taken to the patrol car number 832 and driven to the police station. Rangel Manzano was taken to an office where political police official started to interrogate him. Later on, officials Orlando Figueroa and Dayron joined them. The officials were mainly asking the questions about Capitán Tondique Project where Rangel Manzano is one of the organizers. This projects aims to distribute food to poor people for free once a week. Recently, the project has been often persecuted by State Security. Rangel Manzano was released at 1 pm.
