Activist from Sancti Spíritus detained by State Security for 24 hours



On 10 December 2020, an activist from the Cuban Reflection Movement (MCR), Omar Mauri Oliva, was arrested in the city of Santi Spíritus by two State Security officials when he was finishing his shift as a farm worker. The officials put him into a Lada car and drove him to the 1st Unit of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) in Sancti Spíritus. There he was kept for 24 hours and after that period eventually released.
