On September 19, 2020, in the afternoon, Diana Díaz Sanchez was threatened by the head of the sector, police lieutenant, Feyo Nicle Hernández and by the assistant Ricardo Delfino Marzó. These officers stopped her in the middle of the street to perform a search on her because supposedly her neighbour, according to them, had committed a crime of theft. Diana told them that being a neighbour of a person did not make her guilty and she should not be treated as if she were a criminal. The officer threatened to arrest her if she continued to offend him. According to Diana, the reason for the search on a public street was not because of a neighbour had allegedly committed a crime, but because her house was frequently visited by Keyber Rodríguez Fernández, leader of the opposition in the municipality, and the officers wanted to know whether she had in her possession any document that would link her to this activist, or any other evidence to be able to search her house. Diana firmly stated that she will denounce the officer for abuse and mistreatment of her person. According to Diana, his motive was simply to attract attention of her neighbours so that they would move away from her and isolate her from society. Diana told the officer that Keyber Rodríguez Fernández was going to continue visiting her house because she considered him a respectful, kind and very supportive person. According to her, Keyber was admired by many people in the municipality and they were not going to make his associates repudiate him either. After being stopped, Diana was released with a warning that, if at some point she would have enemy propaganda in her possession, she would face consequences, because according to them, the revolution would not allow any kind of treason. The officers also threatened her not to let her son who lives abroad enter Cuba and warned her to behave well because otherwise she would not see her son for a long time.
