The whereabouts of the political prisoner Orlando Triana González, a Cuban activist of the Cuban Movement Reflexion (MCR), is unknown. On December 3, 2020 Orlando was transferred from the station of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) of Camajuaní, province of Villa Clara to an unknown prison after being arbitrarily detained due to the unfounded accusation of his neighbour Nancy Pérez Morejón, who has held a lawsuit against him over a shared fence, which -as believed by activists- represents a ruse concocted by the political police. The secretary general of the MCR Librado Ricardo Linares García and his family member, Tahimí Hernández Triana, for the sake of justice, made a tour of the following municipal institutions: Delegation of the Ministry of the Interior, Collective Law Firm, Court and Prosecutor's Office.
Finally, they agreed to accuse the Municipal Office of Physical Planning in the Prosecutor's Office for not acting in accordance with the provisions of Decree 272, article 8-1-D where it was oriented to demolish said fence. This dispute is in file 2/20, signed by the director Yoel Hurtado Cuevas and the lawyer Mayra Águila Recio, and is in force since March 9, 2020. The deadline to act was 60 business days.
When Hernández Triana concluded submitting the accusation, she was arrested and taken to the local PNR station, where she was threatened and strictly forbidden to visit Linares García's home. The family of Orlando Triana González continues to worry about his whereabouts as he has not communicated by phone with his family as of the day of submission of this case (31 December 2020).
