Yoel Acosta is a member of the Eastern Democratic Alliance (ADO) and an independent journalist. On that day, he was detained right on the street by State Security (DSE) official known as Rogelio. Then he was taken to the Delegation of the Ministry of the Interior located in the DSE headquarters in Baracoa. There he was threatened with imprisonment if he kept being involved in the same activities. The official issued him an official warning for not having a job and meeting with external counter-revolutionary organizations. Yoel refused to sign the document. He was then told that they would make him disappear and not even his family would know, where he was. After that he was released.
