Yoanny Beltrán Gamboa detained after visiting his friend



Human rights activist Yoanny Beltrán Gamboa was arrested at 8 am at the Héctor Infante village after visiting Raul Martinéz Caraballo. He was arrested by the Head of Police known as Edi and with the State Security officer known as Antoni. He was led to the unit of the National Revolutionary Police of Manuel Tames, where he was interrogated by Antoni and threatened with going to prison. They told him that in two days they were going to celebrate Fidel's birthday and that he could not be on the streets and that what he had planned with Raúl would not be allowed. Yoanny replied that he was only visiting Raul's house. They led him to a shabby cell where were excrement, urine, and cockroaches. At about 6 pm, he was released.
