Citizen is threatened and limited in his religious freedom

In the afternoon, a Cuban citizen was verbally attacked by officials of the Committee for the Defense of Revolution 5 in the Turey neighborhood. These people do not allow the citizen to hold religious services in their home because, according to them, the noise it generates makes it impossible for them to sleep or have privacy. The citizen concerned alleges that, despite the fact that this lady lives more than a block from his house, he has always been very harassing because she receives orders from officer Antonio Rodriguez of the Department of State Security (DSE). This officer has been very hostile to those who profess some kind of religion and even more so if they are Jehovah's Witnesses as is the case. The citizen is recognized by his neighbors as a responsible person who has never molested anyone, much less harmed anyone when worshipping in his home. Some neighbors claim that what is happening to this citizen is the result of the dislike of officer Antonio Rodriguez, who on more than one occasion has summoned him to the Interior Ministry delegation because he allegedly conducts worship in his home illegally. The citizen concerned has also been threatened by this officer with having his house confiscated if he continues to carry out these activities which he calls illegal. According to the citizen, he has the documents of his house and the permission to be able to perform the worship in his house therefore nothing he does is illegal rather what this officer is doing is to harm not only him but also the whole religious community.
