Teacher from Guantánamo detained while heading to Mass with the Ladies in White

Leonor González Santos was detained while heading, together with the Ladies in White, to the Sunday Mass in order to pray for the health of an activist and a Lady in White, Xiomara Cruz, who is now suffering serious health problems. When Leonor was on her way, she was stopped by the State Security official Major Kevin and public order police. She started screaming slogans against the government and in favour of the activist Xiomara Cruz. After that, she was handcuffed, put in the patrol car no. 607 and driven to the police unit known as Parque 24. There she was warned and threatened to be prosecuted if she continued with her activities. She was released several hours later.
