"On July 29 he was imprisoned in his home in retaliation for having participated in the July 12 protests in his neighborhood. He was locked up for 7 days at 100 and Aldabó. There he fell ill with COVID-19 and was admitted to the Hospital Clínico Quirúrgico Docente Dr. Salvador Allende (formerly Quinta Covadonga) for approximately 7 to 10 days. From there he was transferred to the Combinado del Este. He says that the demonstrators were attacked by plainclothes agents and police officers. They threw stones at them and shot at them. He is facing a 20-year prison sentence for the alleged crime of sedition and has also suffered mistreatment and abuse in prison."
