On July 29, 2021, at 7:30 a.m., a citizen was arrested at his home in retaliation for having participated in the popular protests of July of the same year. The prosecutor's request was for 12 years in prison for the alleged crime of sedition but the final sentence sentenced him to 20 years in prison. In addition, the head of the Jóvenes de Occidente prison had him locked up in a punishment regime, for his safety, as he claims that he made an attempt on his life.
