Political activist Henry Couto Guzmán was on his way to the UNPACU headquarter. Later he was planning to attend Mass in the Santuario del Cobre in the Santiago de Cuba Province and to support Ladies in White and Todos Marchamos campaign, both demanding the release of political prisoners. He was detained and beaten by the State Security official Major Bryan and other police officers. Then he was taken to the police station in Manuel Tames and at 1 pm released.
