Kirenia Garcia Frometa was on her way to the UNPACU Headquarters in the Guantánamo Province to attend Mass and a protest march carried out by "Todos Marchamos" campaign. The event is held every Sunday to demand the release of political prisoners and social and political changes. At 7:15, she was detained by the State Security official Kevin and driven to the police station (Parque 24). The police officers threatened her to take away her children because she is HIV positive. Kirenia was released several hours later.
