Yunia Figueredo Cruz was prevented by secret police officers from traveling to Argentina on Tuesday, 14 May. Figueredo Cruz was invited to attend an academic training organized by the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL). At 5:35 am when she leaving her house towards the Internationa Airport José Martí in Havana, she discovered that her house was surrounded by police. Secret police officer known as Camilo said to her that she was not going anywhere. Her flight was scheduled for 8 am. She was not allowed to leave her house until 9 am.
