At 9:00 a.m. on the 13th of Abril, 2017, the citizen Norma Echevarría Urra, was visited by an Honorary Official of the Ministry of the Interior. He informed her that his son, Lázaro Luis Ruiz Echevarría, who is a human rights activist, was going to be detained that night if he appeared in the account of the delegate of his constituency. Norma responded that these were very serious threats and that if something happened to her son, she would intervene. With the help of her neighbors, the State Security, and the political police could not arrest her son when he showed up at the accountability meeting of the Delegate to his constituency.
