Activist from Guantánamo detained to be prevented from attending Mass



An activist Máximo Armeto González was heading to Santiago de Cuba Province to attend Mass at the Catholic Church of the Santuario del Cobre. The mass was being conducted to demand the release of political prisoners and the end of police oppression. When leaving his city at 6 am, Ibrali was detained by State Security official Arturo who put him in the patrol car and took him to the Police Department in Jamaica. He was released at 12 pm that same day.
