UNPACU activist arrested, interrogated, threatened and deprived from his electronic devices



At 7:30 am, the activist of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU) Misael Espinosa was intercepted and detained by two police officers and State Security Department (DSE) agent Leandro. The activist went to the Provincial Unit for the Instruction of Crimes against State Security in Bayamo, where he was subjected to a body search and a video camera, an adapter, a recharging battery and two USB devices were confiscated. After almost two hours of interrogation and multiple threats, he was released after being given a warning. Three days later, after several complaints, he was given a certificate of occupation of his confiscated belongings, which he has not been able to recover to date.
