On Sunday, 10 February 2020, two human rights activists, Celina Osoria Claro and Bartolo Cantillo Romero, were detained on the corner of the Los Maceos Street and 3 Sur. They were heading to Mass taking place in the Santa Catalina de Ricci Church in the city of Guantánamo. The detentions were carried out by two secret police officials who put the detainees in the patrol car no. 602 and drove them to the Police Instruction Unit. There, they were kept detained for about 12 hours without any water or food.
