Reporter and human rights activist interrogated after his arrival from a trip to Spain

Manuel Alejandro León Velázquez arrived in Cuba by a flight coming from Spain where he attended a training together with four more people. When he was about to pass through the Immigration Office and cross the border, he was stopped by several State Security (DSE) officials. Official Camilo, who led the group, told him to accompany them. He was taken to one of the offices at the airport and interrogated by Camilo. The official wanted to know what his journey had been about and whether the new constitution, which was being implemented in Cuba, had been discussed. He was kept in the office for about three hours and then he was allowed to leave the airport.
