Elaidis pretended to go to Guantánamo to participate in Mass in Santa Rita de Ricci Church, as all Ladies in White do every Sunday. When she was passing through the checkpoint in Caimanera, police officers detained her and took her to the police station. She was kept there until the Mass finished and at 8 am released.
