An activist from Guantánamo detained on the street and threatened



In the morning, on 3 December 2020, an activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), Ariolbis Batista Moya, was walking down the 5 Oeste Street in the city of Guantánamo. Suddenly, he was approached by a patrol car and two officers along with a State Security official detained him and by pushing and beating him put him into the car. The victim was driven to the police unit Parque 24 where he was kept for more than 9 hours. There he was threatened by official Víctor who prohibited him from visiting houses of counterrevolutionary activists. Batista Moya was also told that he would go to prison for meeting with an activist José Daniel Ferrer.
