On 5 August 2020, at about 3 pm, an activist from the Cuban Reflection Movement (MCR), Orlando Triana González, was summoned by a State Security official known as Captain Hugo to the National Revolutionary Police Unit in Camajuaní. Initially, Triana González was accused of breaking a public phone, a claim which was soon refuted. Then a municipal delagate of the Ministry of the Interior, Lieutenant Colonel Francisco Daria, told him to go. However, Triana González was stopped by a State Security official known as Pepito who told him that based on an additional instruction from his superiors, he has to stay. He was put in a cell where he was kept for 24 hours and then released. Triana González did not receive any formal excuse for what had happened.
