The activist Yeris Curbelo Aguilera went to the Department of State Security (DSE) of Guantanamo province by subpoena. Once there, they showed him some of his publications on the networks and told him that he had little time left on the streets and threatened him with death, saying that they could throw him into the bay so that they would believe that he drowned trying to get to the US Naval Base in Guantánamo. They later ordered him to sign a "warning act" but the activist refused Yeris and they released him. The next day he was summoned again but this time to the Caimanera police station where he was fined $3000 Cuban pesos ($120) by an inspector from the Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba S.A. (ETECSA) under Decree Law 370, chapter 68, section i) for defaming the good customs, morals and integrity of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz and President Miguel Díaz Canel. The activist refused to sign and receive the ticket stub.
