Human rights activist threatened with imprisonment for his posts on Facebook

Yeris Curvelo Aguilera was summoned to the State Security Detention Center known as Operations on 17 March at 3 pm. When he got there, he was interrogated by the State Security (DSE) official called Major Sergio. He showed Yeris several posts printed from his Facebook profile, where Yeris was stating that Raúl Castro and Díaz-Canel were dictators and tyrans. The official told Yeris that he was having just a little time left and his vacation was coming to its end since he would be soon imprisoned due to his posts on the social media and his political activism which was going against the rulling system in Cuba. Yeris was also told that he would be fined for disgracing the leaders of the Revolution on the social media. Yeris replied that he would not pay any arbitrary fine. Then he was given an official written warning which he refused to sign.
