Mrs. Nory Salazar Suarez is a mother who is the head of two children under the age of 10, has serious problems with her housing and does not have many economic resources. On many occasions she has tried to ask for help from the government and different institutions to solve her problem. As she was not attended and was verbally abused, she decided to build a small house where there used to be an illegal dump because there were no sanitation policies. On the morning of 17th October, Vichy, the head of the sector, and two inspectors showed up at her house, they did not give their names, but said they were there by order of Henry, the head of the Municipal Popular Power, who threatened to evict her and break everything, as well as go to prison. Mrs. Salazar was fined $1000 Cuban pesos ($32) to be paid in less than 72 hours and was warned that she was being prosecuted for eviction and even for taking her children and sending her to prison. This is not the first time that the victim has received this type of threat and sanction against her.
