Activist detained to be prevented from attending a protest march



Marcos Antonio was going to the UNPACU Headquarters in Guantánamo Province to participate in Todos Marchamos campaign which is being conducted to demand the release of political prisoners and social and political changes. At 7 am, he was detained by Major Bryan and Captain Jeidis and taken to the police station, where he was threatened with imprisonment. He was also told, that activists would be beaten by anti-riot troops in case they keep taking to the street. He was released several hours later.
