The independent lawyer Jean Pierre Isla Pérez was traveling through the provinces of Cuba to visit members of an organization of which he is a member. In order to reach all the members, he had to call them on their cell phone to tell them he was coming. After a while, an unknown number called him and threatened him to take him to the detention center called Operations where he would have to explain the purpose of his trip to Cuban provinces when he was visiting members of the organization. The only way to know this information was through illegally listening to Jean Pierre's private calls. In the end, they did not stop him because he made some calls where he said he was going to a false location and was able to evade them and escape.
