On the morning of 11th February, the human rights defender Henry Couto Guzmán was walking down Pedro A. Pérez Street, in downtown Guantánamo, when officers Yoendry Areas, Victor Victor and Luis Angel of the Department of State Security (DSE) threatened him in the middle of the public street. Among their threats they told him that they were going to beat him up and that he should not play crazy anymore, that in the summons they made it very clear how things would be, that if they caught him at night they would disarm him and if he had anything to do with the acts of painting Martí, they would kill him "like a dog". They then pushed him to provoke a fight, but the victim ignored this.
