Henry Couto Guzmán was going to attend Mass and a protest march which were being conducted to demand the release of political prisoners, the end of political repression carried out by Cuban regime and social and political changes. At 6:30, he was detained and beaten by the police and the State Security officials, all of them following Major Bryan´s orders. He was put in the patrol car along with the other activist, Yoanny Beltrán Gamboa. They were driven to the police station and threatened. Henry was released at 3:30 pm at the same day.
