An UNPACU activist from Baracoa threatened with a beating by PNR officials

On 10 December 2020, an activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), Ángel Frometa Lovaina, was detained in front of his house in Baracoa. The detention was carried out by the National Revolutionary Police officers (PNR) – Captain Roberto Cardoza Fuentes and Lieutenant Arturo Mosqueda Pelegrín. These officials, following orders of the State Security, threatened the activist to beat him up if he left his house. However, the activist replied them that they could not prohibit him from leaving his house since he was a free man and as a free man he behaved.
