On 6 August, 2020, at about 8:30 am, an activist from the Cuban Reflection Movement (MCR), Damaris Hidalgo García, was on her way to the bank to carry out a transaction. However, she was arrested on the way and driven to the Municipal Delegation of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) in Camajuaní, her place of residence. The officials present in the premises confiscated her 120 CUC (100€) and threatened her. She was released several hours later.
