On 7 August 2020, at 11 am, an activist from the Cuban Reflection Movement (MCR) and former political prisoner from the municipality of Manicaragua, Mario Morera Jardines, was arrested. The arrest took place at the passanger pick-up point in Camajuaní and was carried out by two State Security officials. Then he was driven to the police station in the same municipality where the officials confiscated him 20 CUC. He was kept detained for about three hours and released in the afternoon at 2 pm.
