UNPACU member was moved to a different detachment after being blamed for being the leader of an alleged mass prison break event.

Isaín López, political prisoner of UNPACU, has been in prison since 2020, serving a six-year sentence for an alleged crime of assault. His wife, Yanet Martínez Látamele, informed that he was moved to a different detachment, a decision that the authorities justify as being for his own safety. However, he is being catalogued as the leader of an alleged mass escape in the detachment where he was held (2C) before being transferred. He is accused of attempted escape and as a disciplinary measure he was suspended from making phone calls to his family members. In addition, Major Yorkis ordered the other inmates to beat López if he made any demonstration and/or spoke against the revolutionary regime.
