UNPACU activist detained and driven outside the city

On March 12, 2016, an activist Kirenia García Frometa was going to attend Mass in the Santuario del Cobre in Santiago de Cuba province. The Mass was held to demand the release of political prisoners and the end od police repression. Kirenia was detained on Camilo Cienfuegos Avenue by State Security officials Cesar y Malvin. She was driven to the State Security and then they put her in the bus. There were several officials who were recording the detainees. Kirenia was released at 9 am in Cecilia, a municipality located 12 km away from the city of Guantánamo in Baracoa Road. It was denounced on Radio Martí and in the Associated Press (AP).
