At 4 am, a human rights defender Omar Suarez Campo was on his way from Pinar del Río to Havana. Suddenly, the bus he was traveling by was stopped by State Security officials and political police. Omar was taken away and put into the patrol car. He was threatened in the car by State Security officials lieutenant colonel Beune and captain Juan Pérez. They told him that no human defender is permitted to go to Havana and the Revolution Square. Omar replied that he was going to visit his mum in Havana and he was not planning to attend any public assembly. And if they did not let him go, they would have to arrest him. The officials told him, that if he went to the Revolution Square, he would be prosecuted for disobedience. Then he was released.
