Activist detained and prevented from participating in a training

Caridad Borges Machin, member of Cuban Christian Democratic Union, was on her to Viñales where she was going to participate in a training on capacity bulding for democracy. She was detained along with her son by State Security official Major Reinaldo and two women from Rapis Response Unit. She was put into the red Lada car and verbally insulted by the officials. Caridad was under detention from 10 am to 12:15, so she could not attend the training.
