State Security threatened a lawyer for advising people

At 2 pm, when the lawyer Madelyn Rodríguez, a member of the Agronomist Current of Independent Lawyers of Cuba, was found in front of the National Ómnibus Terminal of Pinar del Río, she was detained by an official of the State Security, Captain Juan Pérez. Pérez also threatened her, that if she continued her work of advising the people, they would charge her with the crime of advising without legal permission from the government. Also, Pérez expressed that he would invalidate her law degree so that she could never practice law in Cuba again. This was not the first time the activist had received a threat. In 2014, she was expelled from the civil registry for dealing with independent lawyers, which caused her to lose her job. In 2015, she was fired from the Legal Consultancy for pursuing cases of prosecution and harassment. Since 2016, she has been working in a coffee shop, and already the business owner has been threatened to fire her.
