Joanna Columbie Grave de Peralta was invited by a Peruvian NGO to participate in a Youth and Democracy event in Peru. However, at the airport, she was banned from leaving. Thus her right of departure and entry to Cuba was violated. This also happened when she was invited to the Assembly of the Organization of American States in Mexico as they detained her when she went to the airport.
