Rigoberto Gonzalez Vigo, on 19 September 2015 after leaving the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), being with a group of human rights defenders accompanying the citizen Lisandra Cruz Diaz, was arrested by an operation led by the Department of State Security, finding himself in front of the captain Juan Perez. The arrest took place in the street, where he was and stripped of his cell being driven in a police station to the municipal PNR. They were detained for four hours made him a warning notice due to publishing of Cuba's poverty. They told him he could be punished by political and ideological subversion and prosecuted for disobedience.
