Iván was detained so he could not see the Pope



Iván Hernández Carrillo, a human rights defensor, was situated 200 meters from the Plaza de la Revolución at Havana to participate at the Mass celebrated by Pope. An official nicknamed "Capitán Alejandro" detained him saying: "You cannot be at the Mass". They put him into the police car and sent him to the detention center known as Vivac. He had to stay there with another 7 people who were detained as well. At 1 pm he was driven to the part of Havana called La Lisa and left there.
