A Cuban citizen was arrested by Major of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR), Brian Torres Hurgelles. The young woman was arrested when she was demanding that the municipal government fulfill its obligations and stop lying to the people, as she has been demanding help with construction materials in order to fix her house which was destroyed by Hurricane Mathew. The young woman was arrested and taken to the sector that is approximately 200 meters from where she was detained, there the PNR officer fined her $200 Cuban pesos (6) for an alleged crime of public disorder. After the fine was imposed she was released and forced to leave for her home. The young woman says that the officer threatened her with imprisonment if she showed up at the government building again and with ordering her to remove the aid she receives for social cases if she continued to behave in this way and if she continued to talk to anti-revolutionary elements (referring to the human rights activists who had been around her house a few days earlier).
