Activist fined and threatened while riding motorcycle on public roads

Yoel Acosta Games, human rights activist and reporter for ADN Cuba, was riding a motorcycle lent to him by a friend with his wife when he was stopped on the street by an officer of the Transit Police, who told him that he should accompany him to the police station because he had orders to take him there. At the station, Yoel was asked for his identity document and was fined 30 CUP (1 €) together with a letter of caution, which the activist did not sign, as instructed by State Security. Hours later, they summoned Yoel's friend who lent him the motorcycle to fine him the same amount and threatened that if he lent it to Yoel again, they would confiscate it.
