Activists are detained, physically and verbally assaulted and their organization's documents are confiscated



Javier Antonio was arrested along with another activist on the road to Gibara in Holguin province. Both were on their way to take some forms to the municipality of Gibara to collect signatures for a project of their organization. The officers stopped the car in which they were riding, pulled them out and detained them while they exercised physical violence and verbal abuse on them. They were detained until after 4:00 p.m. and all the documents they were carrying were confiscated.
