Lady in White detained and prevented from participating in Mass

On Sunday, 11 November 2018, when an activist and a human rights defender Sissi Abascal Zamora was about to attend the Mass as a member of the Ladies in White, she was detained while leaving her house by the State Security official known as Dayron. She was prevented from continuing her way and immediately driven to the police station in the municipality of Carlos Rojas. There she was kept in detention until 11:30 am. When the official supposed that the Mass was over, Sissi was released. According to the victim's testimony, she was threatened and mistreated during the entire period of her detention.
