An activist from Baracoa threatened over her house constructed after the Hurricane Matthew

In the afternoon, 23 February 2020, an activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), Claridelmi Blanco Lobaina, was a victim of threats coming from the head of the Inspectors Department, Francisco Gainza Navarro. The official was threatening her that he would let her house demolish since it had been constructed illegally. The activist replied to the official that it had not been constructed illegally and that she had constructed the house after the Hurricane Matthew destroyed the previous one. She also added that she had just taken advantage of the fact that the state had authorized people harmed by the hurricane to build a house which she had done with her own effort.
