On 4 December, 2020, Aurelio Cabrera González, an activist from Sancti Spíritus and a member of the Cuban Reflection Movement (MCR), was detained and driven to the 1st Unit of the National Revolutionary Police. There he was kept until Friday, 11 December. All week long, Cabrera González was on hunger strike. The president of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), who lives in the same compound as Cabrera González, accused him of letting in a person who later robbed the president's house. Cabrera González was accused of robbery and his house was searched. As nothing suspicious was found, Cabrera González was released on alleged parole. However, the case was not treated by the court and Cabrero González was released even without a bail.
